RAJNI RETURNS!! It is celebration time again in the Tamil film Industry for after three years of waiting, Rajnikanth has finally broken his silence and announced his next project. Superstar Rajnikanth, a demi-god in Tamil Nadu, will return to blaze the screens with BABA a film to be directed by Suresh Krissna (Baasha, Aalavandhan). The film will hopefully have music composed by A.R. Rahman while Suresh Krissna is working on getting the bulk dates of Aishwarya at the moment. The fans of Rajni who last saw him in Padayappa is eagerly waiting for this one. What's more....Rajnikanth will be writing the script for this film too!
LAGAAN OFF TO OSCARS Lagaan, the Aamir Khan maiden production, has managed to grab an Oscar Nomination - only the third Indian movie to do so after Mother India and Salaam Bombay. Not much of the Americans know what cricket is, and not many of them have even bothered to see this movie....but hopefully all that will change with the DVD being released and this nomination might give it a new life. |
