77Remember Salapham? 

A movie then made with relatively unknown faces of Dileep, Manju Warrier and Kalabhavan Mani. Not only did the movie go on to become a blockbuster, but those new faces went on to become the superstars of the box office.

and the man behind that movie, Sunder Das now returns hoping to recreate some of that magic in his latest movie, Kuberan - produced by Menaka's production house Revathy Kalamandir.

From a tribal village comes an ambitious young man Sidharthan (Dileep) to the landscapes of Ooty looking for a job. And a job too he finds in a studio.

But Sidharthan is a very ambitious chap who decides to hire a palace for some days, and live like a millionaire.

But his plans does not go as expected, when the owner of the palace, Pooja (Samyuktha Verma) lands in Ooty for her holidays. And then she is spent her holidays trying to get Sidharthan out of her home.

To complicate things further lands Sidharthan's flame Uma in search of her love. 

Director Sunder Das once again reteams with Dileep and Kalabhavan Mani. The leading actress Samyuktha Verma is also roped in for the female lead.

Uma, the daugther of former actors, Sumithra and Ravikumar is the other heroine. The movie showcases a few child artists. One of them is actress Menaka's daughter Keerthi.

The movie which is a comedy stars also names like Harisree Asokan, Indrans and Jagathy to ensure that the laughs keep pouring in. 

Even yesteryear actor Mohan makes an appearance in this movie.

The music for the film is composed by Mohan Sithara. 

Can Kuberan repeat the success of Salapham for director Sunder Das?
