NATIONAL  FILM   AWARDS

This year's National Awards might have been released out without much of a hype, but there was enough controversy coming along the way, with atleast 4 of the 16 member jury claiming there to be a serious foul play in the whole proceedings.

But I still think the awards have shaped up to be a really good one, and certainly the deserving ones have been left out. And since DAMAN is still yet to release, I cannot comment on Raveena's performance since I was expecting this category go to Tabu (ASTITVA) or Vani Vishwanath (SUSANNA). But that wasn't to be!

Well, unlike most of the Bollywood awards, atleast the awards down south honor the better movies inspite of their respective box office fates.

So we have movies like MAZHA, SHAANTHAM and SUSANNA taking the major honors.

Mohanlal's award might surprise many, but Vani Vishwanath's was obvious! And she shall be an actress in contention for the National Awards this year too.

Another major contender for the National Awards is K.P.A.C Lalitha for her marvellous performance in Shantham, and therfore she would be eyeing her second Best Supporting Actress award.
